MUSIC GRAIN AWARD
The Music Grain Award is a project created by singer and songwriter Socorro Lira to promote and put light on Brazilian music from all states of the country, especially those ones represented by their artists.
The first edition of the award – that happens once a year – took place in Salvador, Bahia, in 2014.
The winners get a trophy made of bronze on a marble base, created by visual artist Elifas Andreato.A promo CD, containing the songs selected for that year, is also released and is available to the public in digital format through the Award’ s official site on the web.As of 2021, the songs will be distributed by Tratore Company and will be available on the main digital platforms.

The winners are chosen after an invitation from the Music Grain Award members and go through criteria determined by the coordination. The main purpose of the Music Grain Award is to identify and promote the artistic work of the contemporary Brazilian songwriting. By doing this, we assume that we create a special place for the essential art that increases human development and creates a society based on high values, reflections, equality, beauty and peace. Our main aim is to achieve happiness.
AWARD AIMS
Value and spread Brazian singers and songwriters from different regions of the country keeping their regional and national accents.
Give access to the public of a huge independent musical production from musicians, singers and songwriters from different regions through our digital content, the CD and other developments that may include live concerts, tours, material released for media and also our channel on You Tube, among others.
